British Columbia issues 311 invitations to immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in the latest draw which held on 30th March 2020.
British Columbia has invited 1,826 immigration candidates this year, British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) invited candidates under 2 immigration categories ie.
In order to be qualified in the Express Entry BC category, the immigration candidates must have a valid profile in the Federal Express Entry pool.
The Express Entry is Canada’s main pathway for skilled immigrants who want to obtain Canadian permanent residence. Express Entry manages applications for 3 of Canada’s main economic class immigration programs i.e.
Federal Skilled Worker Program,
Federal Skilled Trades Program, and
The immigration Candidates who are eligible for Express Entry were given a Comprehensive Ranking Systems(CRS) score. These scores are based on human capital factors such as age, work experience, education, official language proficiency.
Those candidates nominated through the Express Entry British Columbia provincial nominee program will be awarded an additional 600 CRS points which are effectively confirming them an Invitation to Apply for Canada permanent residence in a coming federal Express Entry draw.
The Skills Immigration Category is for the candidates who are skilled and semi-skilled workers. In this category whose occupations are in high demand may get picked up in the province. These both categories must require the candidates has to register using British Columbia’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), which provides eligible candidates with a score based on their factors like offer of employment, location in B.C., education, language ability, and wage or salary. The minimum score requirements were in the latest selection round was between 102 and 105.
