Manitoba invites 181 invitations to immigration candidates in the latest Expression of Interest (EOI) draw. The International student graduates, skilled workers, and Express Entry candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.
The 82nd Manitoba Expression of Interest (EOI) draw took place on January 30, issuing invitations to immigration candidates for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program sent out a total of 181 Letters of Advice to Apply to candidates from the following 3 streams i.e,
Out of the 181 Letters of Advice (LAAs) issued in this draw and 11 were sent to candidates who had a valid Express Entry profile.
The Express Entry is the major pathway for economic class immigrants to obtain permanent residence in Canada. Those who choose the Express Entry immigration were given a CRS score which assesses their human capital factors such as age, work experience, education, and official language proficiency.
The highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply for permanent residence in regular Express Entry draws with a provincial nomination; an Express Entry candidate will receive an extra 600 points toward their overall CRS score which will effectively be confirming them an Invitation to Apply. To be considered for a provincial nomination from Manitoba, all Express Entry candidates must have eligible work experience in one of Manitoba’s in-demand occupations with the other requirements. They must submit a separate Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).
In order to get invited for a provincial nomination from Manitoba through both the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas categories, the candidates need to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). The Expression of Interest is an online profile that is ranked out of a score of 1,000. Those points are awarded for a candidate’s education, work experience, connections to Manitoba and proficiency in English or French with the other factors.
The highest-scoring candidates receive a Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA), allowing them to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence from Manitoba. In the latest draw, the lowest-ranked candidate invited under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream had a score of 548 and the lowest-ranked candidate also invited from the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream which had a score of 679.
Skilled Worker Overseas Category allows the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) to select and nominate skilled foreign workers who can help and support Manitoba’s labor market. The Candidates must have a connection to Manitoba such as close family, relatives or friends, previous education or work experience in the province or an invitation through one of the MPNP’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives with the other requirements.
The candidates do not need to be in Manitoba at the time of application in order to get qualified. The 39 candidates invited through the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream were invited directly by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
The candidates invited through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba Category must be working in Manitoba and have a full-time and permanent job offer from their employer with the other criteria.
