Saskatchewan Issues 646 invitations to Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand candidates In Latest Draw which held on 13th Feb 2020 and there were 3 times more people invited in the February 13 draw than the previous draw which was held on January 13.

Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP) invited immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for a permanent residence and SINP sent out a total of 646 invitations to candidates in the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand categories.

In order to be qualified, the candidates need to have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP). Through the Expression of Interest (EOI) system, the SINP invites immigration candidates that have the potential to thrive in the prairie province to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.

The Interested candidates must create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile and elaborate their capacity to settle in Saskatchewan by listing their work experience, education, language ability, age, and connections to the province. The Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program uses the 5 factors to assess candidates. Then they give a score out of 100 on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid and the top highest-scoring candidates are then issued an invitation to apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination.

The minimum score required in the latest draw which held on 13th February draws was 70 for both sub-categories and there is No job offer required in order to receive an invitation from Saskatchewan. The candidates need at least 1 year of work experience in an eligible skilled occupation related to their field of study.

Express Entry Sub Category - Saskatchewan Draw which held on 13 Feb 2020

In the latest invitation round which held on 13th Feb 2020, Saskatchewan has issued 277 invitations to candidates who had profiles in the Federal Express Entry pool. Saskatchewan’s Express Entry sub-category is linked to the federal Express Entry system which manages the pool of candidates for 3 of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs i.e.

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Class
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Class, and
  3. Canadian Experience Class.

The candidates in the federal Express Entry pool also filled out an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Saskatchewan and they scored 70 on the SINP’s Points Assessment Grid they may have been selected on February 13. The Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination from the province of Saskatchewan are awarded a more 600 points toward their CRS score at the federal level and which are effectively guaranteed an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.

Occupations in demand sub category - Saskatchewan Draw which held on 13 Feb 2020

Occupations In-Demand sub-category is open to immigration candidates who do not have a federal Express Entry profile and there were 369 Occupations In-Demand candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination. Express Entry sub-category where candidates need a provincial score of 70 in order to get selected.
