Manitoba PNP Draw Issues 174 Invitations

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draw issues 174 invitations for International student graduates and skilled workers both in Manitoba and abroad were invited to apply for a provincial nomination in the latest draw which held on 16th July 2020.

This is the Manitoba’s 94th Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw and Manitoba has issued a total number of 174 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) to the immigration candidates.

The purpose of Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) is to invite immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada permanent residence.

The Letters of Advice to Apply were issued to Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) candidates under the following streams:

  1. Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 134
  2. Skilled Workers Overseas: 11
  3. International Education Stream: 29

18 of the 174 invited candidates had profiles in the federal Express Entry system and Manitoba has issued Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) to 2,634 candidates this year 2020.

Manitoba EOI

The Immigration candidates must need to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) to receive an Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) through the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and the Skilled Workers Overseas categories.

Under Manitoba’s system, the immigration candidates then ranked out of 1,000 points based on the human original Factors such as Age, Education, Work Experience Language proficiency in English or French, Manitoba connections, and other factors.

In this latest draw of Manitoba, the successful candidates needed a score of at least 430 points to obtain an Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream and Skilled Workers Overseas candidates needed a minimum score of 811 points.

Manitoba Streams

The Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories allow the province of Manitoba to nominate the skilled workers who can support Manitoba’s labour market needs.

Those overseas candidates must need to have an established connection to Manitoba which can be demonstrated through close family ties or friends in Manitoba, previous work experience in the province, or an invitation under one of the Manitoba provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Strategic Recruitment Initiatives.

The candidates do not need to be physically present in Manitoba at the time of the application to be eligible. The successful candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba category must meet certain criteria as per the province such as having a full-time permanent job offer from an employer in Manitoba.

Finally, the international students that graduated from an educational institution in Manitoba may receive an Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) under the International Education Stream if they have in-demand skills.
