British Columbia has issued 320 invitations to Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skilled Immigration (SI) candidates in the latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw which held on 14th July 2020.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) invited candidates through the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories. The Express Entry BC stream is one of many provincial programs in Canada that is aligned with the federal government’s Express Entry system.

The Express Entry system is used by the federal government to manage permanent residence applications through Canada’s 3 main economic programs i.e.

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC)and 
  3. Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

They are many provinces in Canada which use this system to manage their own applications for provincial nomination programs.

The Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination are given an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points which is practically guaranteeing an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canada permanent residence in a regular Express Entry draw.

As for the Skills Immigration (SI) stream the immigration candidates were invited through the stream’s Skilled WorkerInternational Graduate, and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled categories.

The minimum required provincial points in this draw was ranged between 76 and 98, depending on the category and the minimum scores for each of the categories are the following:

  1. SI – Skilled Worker: 98
  2. SI – International Graduate: 98
  3. SI – Entry Level and Semi-Skilled: 76
  4. EEBC – Skilled Worker: 98
  5. EEBC – International Graduate: 98

The immigration candidates interested in applying through the Express Entry BC stream, then they must have a profile in the federal Express Entry system and the candidates have to register in the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).

The immigration Candidates interested in applying through the Skills Immigration stream must only be registered in the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
