The immigration candidates must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the province of Manitoba if they wish to receive a Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) under either of the Skilled Workers in Manitoba or the Skilled Workers Overseas streams.

The immigration candidates are assessed on original human capital factors like Age, Education, Work Experience, Manitoba ties, Language ability in English or Fresh and other factors. They are ranked out of 1,000 points.

The immigration candidates under the Skilled Workers Overseas Category and Skilled Workers in Manitoba streams help the province address its economic needs. If a candidate is overseas, then they need to show they have ties to Manitoba like having close family or friends in the province.

The previous Manitoba living experience or an invitation under one of the province’s Strategic Recruitment Initiatives can also make a candidate eligible in this draw.

To be eligible under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, the immigration candidates must meet the basic criteria such as having a full-time and permanent offer of employment within Manitoba.
