Saskatchewan Invites 570 PNP Candidates

Saskatchewan invites 570 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates who had work experience in one of 50 occupations in the latest draw which held on 27th Aug 2020.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited 570 immigration candidates from the International Skilled Worker category through the Occupations In-Demand subcategory.

The invited Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates had the Educational Credential assessments (ECA). The candidates also needed an Expression of Interest (EOI) score of at least 68 if they had connections to the province of Saskatchewan or at least 10 years of work experience and a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of at least 8 or else they needed a minimum of 69 points to be eligible.

The SINP Candidates were invited if they had work experience and a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of at least 8.

About the Occupations In-Demand subcategory

Occupations In-Demand sub-category is a base Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) which is open to immigration candidates who do not have a profile in federal Express Entry. This sub-category is for highly skilled workers with experience in an in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan.

In order to apply for Canadian immigration through this sub-category, the foreign nationals need to create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile through the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP) online application system.

Saskatchewan Expression of Interest (EOI) system which allows the province to select immigration candidates that have the potential to thrive in the prairie province and the candidates will be assessed on how their work experience, education, language proficiency, age, and connections to the province demonstrate their capacity to settle in Saskatchewan.

Then they are given a score out of 100 based on the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP) International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid and the highest-scoring candidates are then issued an invitation to apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.

Saskatchewan provincial nominee programs

Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP) has invited 3,256 immigration candidates to apply for a nomination this year 2020. These candidates were invited through the following subcategory like Occupations In-Demand subcategory and Saskatchewan’s Express Entry sub-category.

The Express Entry sub-category is an enhanced Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) which is linked to the federal Express Entry system.

The Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for 3 of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs i.e.

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Program, and 
  3. Canadian Experience Class.

The immigration candidates with Express Entry profiles have must create the Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles for Saskatchewan in order to be considered for an invitation to apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination

The Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan are awarded an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score which is effectively guaranteed an invitation to apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.
