Saskatchewan PNP Draw

Saskatchewan PNP invites 252 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in the latest draw which held on 28th May 2020.

Saskatchewan announces the first Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw results since March 26, invites the immigration candidates with work experience in 44 in-demand occupations.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited the immigration candidates from the International Skilled Worker category through 2 subcategories i.e

  1. Express Entry, and
  2. Occupations In-Demand.

This is the first Express Entry-regulate Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw out of Saskatchewan since Canada closed its borders to non-essential travel. The previous draw from Saskatchewan on March 26 was only for the Occupations In-Demand candidates.

In order to be invited in this draw of 28th May, the candidates from both sub-categories need to have submitted Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles with the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP).

Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP) uses the Expression of Interest (EOI) system to select the candidates that have the most potential to thrive in the prairie province.

The Candidates need to determine their commitment to building a life in Saskatchewan by showcasing their work experience, education, age, language ability in English or French, and connections to the Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) uses these 5 factors to judge the candidates and give them a score out of 100 on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid. The highest-scoring candidates are then issued an invitation to apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan. The minimum score required in this latest draw which held on May 28 was 78 for both sub-categories.

Express Entry Sub Category

In the latest invitation round, the Saskatchewan issued 127 invitations to candidates who had profiles in the federal Express Entry pool. The federal Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for 3 of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs i.e.

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Program, and
  3. Canadian Experience Class.

If the candidates in the federal Express Entry pool also filled out an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Saskatchewan, and they scored 78 on the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP) Points Assessment Grid they may have been invited in the latest draw of 28th May.

The Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan are awarded an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System score. This CRS score award puts them in a good position to be invited to apply (ITA) for permanent residence in a regular federal Express Entry draw.

Occupations in Demand Sub Category

Occupations In-Demand sub-category is open to immigration candidates who do not have a profile in federal Express Entry.

There were 125 Occupations In-Demand categories, the candidates who are invited to apply for a provincial nomination. The Express Entry sub-category, candidates needed a provincial score of 78 in order to be select.
