British Columbia invites 87 immigration candidates with minimum scores of 82 in the latest Tech Pilot draw to apply for a provincial nomination which held on 9th June 2020.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) invited the immigration candidates to apply from the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories. The minimum provincial score requirement for each category was 82 in this draw.

In order to receive an invitation through the Express Entry BC category, the candidates must have the profiles in the federal Express Entry system.

The Express Entry system is the federal government’s application management system. The Express Entry candidates are given points based on human capital factors such as age, work experience, education, and language proficiency.

The Candidates who receive a provincial nomination are automatically awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points that go toward a subsequent federal Express Entry draw. This is effectively a confirm that the candidates will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.

The British Columbia recently announced it was extending its Tech Pilot for another year until June 2021.

The tech pilot enables tech foreign workers with a job offer in one of the 29 occupations.

The job offer must be a minimum of 1 year long and there need to be at least 120 days remaining in the job offer at the time of the candidate submits their application to British Columbia.
