PEI Express Entry Category
Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) Express Entry Category is aligned with the Canadian government’s Express Entry System. This Express Entry system manages the applications for 3 economic class immigration programs.
The Express Entry candidates create the profiles that are put into a pool. In this pool the candidates were given a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for human capital factors like age, work experience, education, and official language proficiency.
The Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination are given an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score which is effectively guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Government of Canada in a following Express Entry draw. In order to be considered for a provincial nomination from Prince Edward Island (PEI), the Express Entry candidates must need to create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program.
The Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles is given points based on the province’s unique points system where only highest-scoring candidates are then invited to apply through monthly draws.
