Manitoba issues 99 invitations to immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in the latest PNP draw which held on 21st May 2020.

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has now issued overall 2,030 invitations this year 2020. The invitations were issued through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) to the immigration candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education streams.

The invitations also are known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), which were distributed as follows:

  1. Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 72 Invitations
  2. Skilled Workers Overseas: 15 Invitations
  3. International Education Stream: 12 Invitations

Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has issued 2,030 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to immigration candidates in these categories so far in 2020. This was Manitoba’s 90th draw since the program started in April 2014.

Express Entry in Manitoba

Among the Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were issued in this latest draw which held on 21st May 2020. The 9 went to candidates with a valid profile in the federal Express Entry system. The immigration candidates who qualify for the Express Entry pool are ranked based on a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The CRS score considers based on human capital factors like age, work experience, education, and language ability.

The highest-scoring candidates are invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence through its regular draws from the Express Entry pool. Those who receive a provincial nomination are awarded an extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. These points are effectively guaranteed an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The Express Entry candidates who received a provincial nomination from Manitoba in this latest draw which held on 21st May was declared a valid Express Entry ID and provided a job seeker validation code.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba

Skilled Workers in Manitoba

The Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream provides a pathway to permanent residence for eligible temporary foreign workers in the province and international graduates of Manitoba post-secondary educational institutions. In order to be considered for this stream, the candidates must be working in Manitoba and have a full-time, permanent job offer from their employer with the other criteria.

The invitations to apply for a provincial nomination from Manitoba through this stream are issued to the candidates who have registered an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP).

An Expression of Interest (EOI) is an online profile which is ranked out of a score of 1,000. These points are awarded for a candidate based on its education, work experience, connections to Manitoba, and proficiency in English or French among the other factors. The lowest-ranked Skilled Workers in Manitoba candidate selected in this draw was had a score of 485.

Skilled Workers Overseas in Manitoba

The immigration candidates who selected under the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream were invited directly through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative. This initiative includes overseas recruitment missions organized by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), which is associated with Manitoba’s employers.

The Candidates from the Skilled Workers Overseas stream are also ranked according to Manitoba’s Expression of Interest (EOI) rating system. The Skilled Worker Overseas candidates must need a minimum score of 613 and above to be eligible for a Letters of Advice to Apply (LAA) in this latest draw which held on 21st May 2020 Expression of Interest (EOI) draw.

International Education in Manitoba

International Education

The Manitoba graduates with certain in-demand skills may be invited under the International Education Stream. This stream includes 3 sub-categories i.e.

  1. Career Employment Pathway,
  2. Graduate Internship Pathway, and
  3. International Student Entrepreneur Pilot.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) has sent out 12 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to International Education Stream candidates in this latest draw of 21st May. There is no Expression of Interest (EOI) minimum score was provided.
