Saskatchewan Invites 576 Express Entry Candidates

Saskatchewan invites 576 Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand candidates in the latest Draw which held on 27th February 2020. Saskatchewan had issued 1,764 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in 2020.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) sent out a total number of 576 invitations to apply to candidates in the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand categories. To get eligible, the candidates need to have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP). The Expression of Interest (EOI) system, the SINP invites immigration candidates that have the potential to thrive in the prairie province to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.

Interested candidates must create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile and provide their capacity to settle into life in Saskatchewan by listing their total work experience, education, language ability, age, and connections to the SINP. The Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program uses these 5 factors to assess candidates and give them a score out of 100 on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid.

The highest-scoring candidates are then issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence and the minimum score required in the latest draw was 69 for both sub-categories and there is no job offer is required in order to receive an invitation from Saskatchewan. The candidates needed at least 1 year of work experience in an eligible skilled occupation related to their field of study.

Express Entry Sub-Category

In the latest invitation round from Saskatchewan, they have issued 301 invitations to candidates who had profiles in the federal Express Entry pool. The Saskatchewan’s Express Entry sub-category is linked to the federal Express Entry system that manages the pool of candidates for 3 of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs i.e.

  1. Federal Skilled Worker Class
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Class, and
  3. Canadian Experience Class.

The candidates in the federal Express Entry pool also filled out an Expression of Interest (EOI) for Saskatchewan and they scored 69 on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) Points Assessment Grid they may have been selected on the latest draw which held on 27th February 2020.

 The Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan were awarded an extra 600 points toward their (CRS)score at the federal level and which is effectively guaranteed an invitation to apply(ITA) for Canadian permanent residence.

The Occupations In-Demand sub-category is open to immigration candidates who do not have a federal Express Entry profile and there were 275 Occupations In-Demand candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination.
