Alberta Invites Express Entry Candidates with CRS Scores of 300 with Details which is 4th Express Entry draw which held on 20th Feb 2020. Alberta invites immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program invited 150 Express Entry candidates with CRS scores as low as 300. The immigration candidates who applied don’t require having any job offers in Alberta to be invited to apply for a provincial nomination through the Alberta Express Entry System. The immigration candidates must need to have profiles in the Federal Express Entry System.
The Express Entry is an application management system for 3 of Canada’s economic class immigration programs i.e.
The immigration candidates are eligible for Express Entry where they are ranked on human capital factors like work experience, education, official language proficiency, and age, based on these factors then they give a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. The highest-scoring candidates were selected to receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence in regular Express Entry Draws.
The Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination from Alberta receive an automated generic 600 additional comprehensive ranking system (CRS) points towards their score. The additional points which they receive are effectively a guarantee that they will receive an invitation to apply (ITA) for a Canadian permanent residence. If an immigration candidate in the Express Entry pool with 300 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points will obtain a provincial nomination and there CRS score will be 900 which is enough to get qualify for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in a regular Express Entry Draw. In order to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the latest Federal Express Entry Draw, the immigration candidates needed a score of minimum 471.
The Express Entry candidates need to be working in an occupation that supports Alberta’s “economic development and diversification priorities” in order to be eligible for an invitation through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program stream. The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program does not provide a list of eligible occupations because it is not necessary to have a job offer in Alberta for this stream, the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) says it may give priority to candidates who meet the below 3 criteria i.e.
- The valid job offer and work experience in Alberta;
- The valid degree from a Canadian post-secondary institution and a valid job offer; or
- The parent, child or sibling already living in the province.
This year, Alberta has issued 651 invitations to Express Entry candidates. In the last year 2019, Alberta issued a total of 11,137 invitations through the Alberta Express Entry Stream.
